Mellott Agency is proud to be appointed with Manhattan Life, also a partner with the Virginia Insurance Marketplace. While it would be nice, most Major Medical Health Policies, both from the ACA or an employer group health plan, they don't include dental or vision benefits imbedded in their health plan, or Dental, Vision, or Hearing. Plans are usually purchased for Dental and Vision, and Hearing benefits separately, and if you're a patient on Medicare, most dental, vision, and hearing benefits aren't covered.

Manhattan Life offers their DVH plan, which includes benefits for all three in one plan. Consumers chose their annual benefit level, currently $1000, $1500, in Virginia. Instead of offering limited basic services that are usually covered after paying a deducible and co-pay, Manhattan Life's DVH Plan offers deep discounts towards services that increase the first three years you own the policy. Highlights include:

  • Dental coverage for:

    • Preventive Services

    • Basic Services

    • Major Services

  • Vision coverage for eye glasses, contact lenses, and more

  • Hearing coverage for hearing aids, exams, and more

  • PPO plan - use your own dentist or choose one from the Careington Network.

  • Individual and Family rates. Include up to 3 children ages 3 - 17

  • Guaranteed issue - ages 18 - 85

  • Guaranteed renewable for life (subject to Manhattan Life's right to change premiums)

  • You choose where to use your annual benefit. (benefit amounts not used do not roll over to the next year)

  • Discount levels: 60% year 1, 70% year 2, and 80% year 3 and for as long as you own your policy.

  • Enroll in your plan and use benefits the same day. Waiting periods for some services: Major Dental: 12 months, Glasses & Contact Lenses: 6 months. New hearing aids and repairs on old hearing aids: 12 months.
